My class had started learning Scratch, and I enjoyed it enough to build a small game of my own. A ball moves around the screen while the player controls a black paddle and tries to clear all the green blocks within 35 seconds.
The left and right arrow keys move the paddle. The green flag restarts the game.
It was a simple project, but it was one of my first complete interactive programs and a useful way to learn events, movement, collision and game state.
